This collection of tables on drug seizures and offenders in the United Kingdom during 1991 presents data for number of seizures of controlled drugs and rates of seizure of controlled drugs by police force areas along with the number of persons found guilty, cautioned, or dealt with by police force area and year.
Abstract
In 1991, the number of drug seizures totaled 51,862 in England, 2,633 in Wales, 7,660 in Scotland, and 255 in Northern Ireland. Persons found guilty, cautioned, or dealt with by compounding for drug offenses in 1991 totaled 39,818 in England, 1,498 in Wales, 4,086 in Scotland, and 83 in Northern Ireland. Supplementary tables include data on seizures of controlled drugs by class of drug; persons dealt with for drug offenses by age, sex, and action taken; numbers of males and numbers of females found guilty, cautioned, or dealt with by compounding for drug offenses by offense and year; persons sentenced to immediate custody for drug offenses; and persons found guilty, cautioned, or dealt with by compounding for drug offenses. 52 tables
