Abstract
The variables include the numbers and types of municipal employees, municipal employment in relation to total population, size of payrolls, municipal revenues from different types of sources, nonmunicipal employment in basic economic areas, and crime rates for murder, robbery, auto theft, and rape. Additional variables are the labor force and unemployment, property values, and other miscellaneous topics.
