THE AUTHOR IDENTIFIES THE THREE ELEMENTS OF A SECURITY SYSTEM AS DETECTION, COMMAND/CONTROL/COMMUNICATION, AND RESPONSE. HE THEN DISCUSSES EACH ELEMENT SEPARATELY TO FURNISH INFORMATION FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS TYPE OF SYSTEM.
