The report is a compilation of legislatively mandated recommendations to the President, the Congress, and the Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and a description of relevant actions taken by the Committee from Oct. 1, 1977, to Sept. 30, 1978.
Abstract
Minutes of all Committee meetings are provided, as well as the Committee's work plan and information on staffing activities. Topics considered included juvenile offenders who have committed violent offenses, youthful offenders being tried as adults in some States, and research needed to determine the nature of treatment for juvenile offenders perpetrating violent crimes.
