A team approach to combatting juvenile prostitution is suggested for law enforcement personnel.
Abstract
Simply arresting juvenile prostitutes will not change their behavior. Sheriffs can increase community awareness of the problem by encouraging the involvement of civic leaders together with specially trained law enforcement personnel and social workers in specialized task forces. Already established task forces have identified 3 needed services; immediate crisis and emergency care, stabilization services, and long-term residential care.
