This manual aims to inform juvenile judges and other juvenile court personnel about programs that have promise or that have demonstrated positive results in juvenile delinquency prevention, juvenile court diversion, juvenile detention, juvenile probation, addressing child abuse and neglect, and dealing with other issues affecting children and youth.
Abstract
For each project, the client category is listed. Client categories include parents, children at risk, juvenile offenders, first offenders, minor offenders, high-risk offenders, drug abusers, sexual offenders, juvenile status offenders, runaways, truants, and neglected and abused youth. Each project is also described in terms of its objectives, components, starting date, staff, jurisdiction size, funding sources and budget, use of volunteers, effectiveness, and contact name and address. A program index by State is included.
