Abstract
WITH PARALLEL FORMATS, THE WORKBOOK AND TEXT ACT TOGETHER TO GROUND THE READER IN MODERN TRAINING CONCEPTS, METHODS, AND TECHNIQUES. PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF INSTRUCTING, SUPERVISING, AND ADMINISTRATING ARE EMPHASIZED, DUE TO THE COMPETENCY-BASED CONCEPT OF THE BOOK. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE PROVIDED FOR MATERIAL ON INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGN, IDENTIFICATION OF TRAINING NEEDS, ESTABLISHING AND WRITING PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES, AND INDIVIDUALIZING TRAINING. ALSO COVERED ARE SUPERVISION OF INSTRUCTION, FOUNDATIONS FOR LEARNING, THE LEARNING PROCESS, AND PLANNING FOR LEARNING ACTIVITIES. OTHER CHAPTERS FOCUS ON PHASES OF ORAL INSTRUCTION, METHODS OF PRESENTING INSTRUCTION, LEARNING BY APPLICATION, EVALUATION, INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA, AND MAKING THE LESSON PLAN.
