Abstract
THE STAY-IN SCHOOL PROJECT OPERATES TO CURB DELINQUENCY AND CRIMINALITY AND RAISE THE STANDARD OF LIVING OF LOWER INCOME GROUPS, THE ENTIRE PROGRAM IS GEARED TOWARD THE ATTAINMENT OF APPROPRIATE MIDDLE-CLASS GOALS AND ACCEPTANCE BY MEMBERS OF THE MIDDLE CLASS. 120 CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN GROUP WORK, COUNSELING, AND REMEDIAL EDUCATION, PREVOCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO ESTABLISH THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SCHOOL SUBJECTS AND WORK ROLES, AND RECEIVED FINANCIAL COMPENSATION FOR HOURS SPENT IN THE PROGRAM.
