Abstract
This May/June 2013 issue of OJJDP News @ A Glance contains five primary articles describing major initiatives from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). The lead article is an interview with OJJDP Administrator Robert L. Listenbee that talks about his priorities for OJJDP and the juvenile justice field. The second article discusses the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ's) observation of National Missing Children's Day, while the third article highlights the OJJDP Administrator's address to the Coalition for Juvenile Justice Conference. The fourth article discusses the Tribal Grant Meeting held by OJJDP, while the fifth article presents information on an OJJDP-supported publication that outlines best practices for family drug courts. The online issue of the newsletter also contains a list of upcoming events, and a listing of new publications from OJJDP. The News In Brief section contains 12 short articles that cover a range of topics, including SAMHSA' new underage drinking prevention campaign, new standards from NCMEC for protecting child athletes from sex abuse, the 250 youth justice Web sites launched by Global Youth Justice, the Spring 2013 issue of the National Gang Center Newsletter, and information on a DOJ Web site that features public service announcements by Tribal youth. The online newsletter also contains links for subscribing to the newsletter, emailing the current issue, browsing the archives, and sending feedback to OJJDP regarding content of the newsletter.
