This report contains statistical data from the Fourth United Nations Surveys of Crime Trends and Operations of Criminal Justice Systems (1986-1990) submitted by 98 countries and territories.
Abstract
The data are divided into four sections: Suspects (all crimes); Intentional Homicides; Police Sector Personnel; and Adult Prison Population. The Police Sector Personnel section includes total female personnel for 1986 and 1990. The Adult Prison Population is divided into totals for males and females for 1986 and 1990. Information concerning the availability of the questionnaire for the Fourth United Nations Surveys of Crime Trends and Operations of Criminal Justice Systems (1986-1990) and a diskette containing the full data set in compressed SPSS (Version 5.0) format is provided.
