The Commission receives and acts on complaints made against California judges. In 1979, the commission received 291 complaints, with 215 not warranting commission proceedings after examination.
Abstract
The commission instituted 76 inquiries into judicial conduct, with 62 involving a written communication with a judge. At the close of the year, 14 matters were pending and carried forward to 1980.
