Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council to Focus on Trauma-Informed and Healing-Centered Support for Youth and Families
WASHINGTON – Members of the federal Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will convene their second meeting of 2024 on Thursday, June 27, at the Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs in Washington, D.C. Different federal departments will discuss their approaches to trauma-informed and healing-centered support for youth and families. In addition, the Council will continue work to identify activities and recommendations for its report to Congress, drawing upon input gathered from the field, expert testimony, youth panelists and commentary at past meetings.
