Abstract
THROUGH LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS, A NUMBER OF CHARACTERISTICS OF A STRIKING BULLET HAVE BEEN DETERMINED. SOME OF THE FACTORS BEARING ON THIS, INCLUDE IMPACT ENERGY, SECONDARY MISSILES, BARREL LENGTH, AND HOLLOW POINT BULLETS. THE GENERAL THEORY OF SMALL ARMS WOUNDING EFFECTIVENESS IS DISCUSSED.
