POLICE LEGAL TRAINING FILM ON THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF EVIDENCE AND COURTROOM DEMEANOR.
Abstract
COVERED ARE THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF EVIDENCE, THE RELEVANCY REQUIREMENT, THE TYPES OF WITNESS EXAMINATION, AND THE OPINION RULE GOVERNING OPINIONS AND CONCLUSIONS OF NONEXPERT WITNESSES. THE MEANINGS OF 'DIRECT' AND 'CIRCUMSTANTIAL' EVIDENCE ARE DEFINED AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REAL, TESTIMONIAL, AND DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE IS DESCRIBED. THE TYPES OF WITNESS EXAMINATION DISCUSSED INCLUDES DIRECT EXAMINATION, CROSS-EXAMINATION, REDIRECT AND RECROSS-EXAMINATION, AND VOIR DIRE EXAMINATION.
