Abstract
JUDGE POLIER SUGGESTS THAT IT IS THE MUTUAL TASK OF LAW AND THE BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES TO END THE EXILE OF THESE GROUPS FROM SOCIETAL INSTITUTIONS, AND URGES A REEXAMINATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF PSYCHIATRY TO LAW IN LIGHT OF A RAPIDLY CHANGING SOCIETY.
