Abstract
THE INITIAL SECTION CONTAINS POLICIES PERTAINING TO LEAA, THE COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE, AND THE DIVISION OF JUSTICE AND CRIME PREVENTION. FOLLOWING SECTIONS DEAL WITH GRANT AND FISCAL PROCEDURES, LEAA REQUIREMENTS, PLANNING PROCEDURES, PERSONNEL AND CONSULTANTS, AND TRAINING AND OBLIGATORY SERVICE. THIS NOTEBOOK ALSO DISCUSSES PREVENTIVE, CORRECTIONAL, AND REHABILITATIVE PROGRAMS, NARCOTICS AND DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION OR CONTROL, EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES, CONTRACTUAL SERVICES, AND COMMUNICATION AND DATA RETRIEVAL SYSTEMS. A CROSS-REFERENCE SYSTEM IS USED TO POINT OUT THOSE POLICIES WHICH MOST CLOSELY CORRESPOND TO OR MAY HAVE BEARING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE STATEMENTS. INCLUDED ARE THE DOCUMENTS OF BASIC LEGISLATION UNDER WHICH THE COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE FUNCTIONS.
