This report presents the program, services, and research offered by the Victim Services Agency (VSA) in New York City for the period July 1980 to June 1981.
Abstract
VSA is a not-for-profit corporation organized to the trauma, cost, and inconvenience associated with being a crime victim. VSA is responsible for coordinating existing services to crime victims, identifying those needs of crime victims not currently being met, and developing and administering programs designed to meet those needs. The VSA program is described, including its hotline, community offices, court services, special services, and research. Future anticipated activities are noted. Appendixes include research findings, sources and uses of funds, newspaper articles, and a list of the board of directors. VSA offices are listed at the beginning of the report.
