Absorbance ratios at selected wavelengths and retention times were determined for 28 common drugs of abuse.
Abstract
Based on the values of three ratios, the drugs were placed into five classes. Within each class, the individual member could be identified readily by its characteristic absorbance ratio and retention time. It was concluded that absorbance ratios in conjunction with retention times greatly enhance the utility of HPLC for the rapid analysis of drugs of abuse. (Publisher abstract)
