The analysis of telephone records includes the compilation and review of telephone company, long distance service and/or dialed number recorder information to show the strength and patterns of relationships between the subscriber and numbers called.
Abstract
Techniques and methodology of analysis are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of such analysis. Definitions of analytical terms are provided followed by a discussion of the background of telephone intelligence. Procedures for analysis are also discussed that include record collection, definition of the scope of the calls, examination of frequency by date and day of the week, and frequency of direct calls to numbers. Calls by length, primary listing, collect calls, third party calls, frequency by hour, graphic distributions, patterns, charting, and conclusions and recommendations are also reviewed. Illustrations of different patterns and charts are provided, and multiple subscriber and dialed number recorder analysis are examined. Other techniques including computer analysis of telephone activity are included. 16 figures and appendixes.
