One or more laws were passed in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. They focused on HIV antibody testing, confidentiality and privacy, AIDS prevention and education, AIDS in correctional facilities, AIDS among intravenous drug abusers, AIDS research, reporting and notification, medical care, blood donations, and other topics.
