Abstract
IN THIS PHASE OF THE STUDY, THE IMPACT OF THE SIZE OF POLICE DEPARTMENTS ON THE ORGANIZATION OF POLICE SERVICE ACTIVITIES. THE STUDY INVOLVED 80 METROPOLITAN AREAS. TWO OF THE FINDINGS REGARDING THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN DEPARTMENT SIZE AND PATROL DEPLOYMENT AND DEPARTMENT SIZE AND PATROL DENSITY ARE DISCUSSED AT LENGTH.
