Abstract
The forms social crime prevention policies have taken in France and the United Kingdom are compared and prevention initiatives are presented in more detail under the Conservative government. These policies are seen as extensions of more general Conservative policies. Some predictions on the future of crime prevention in the United Kingdom are reviewed. 41 references.
