STUDY OF THE SKIN SENSITIZATION CAPACITY OF OCHLOROBENZYLIDENE MALONONITRILE AND THREE OTHER RIOT CONTROL AGENTS IN GUINEA PIGS.
Abstract
IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT O-CHLOROBENZYLIDENE MALONONITRILE (CS) SHOWED EVIDENCE OF A SKIN-SENSITIZING POTENTIAL IN MAN. THIS PROMPTED A BASIC STUDY OF THE SKIN SENSITIZATION CAPACITY OF CS AND THREE OTHER RIOT CONTROL AGENTS IN GUINEA PIGS. IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT - NEITHER CA NOR DM PRODUCES SKIN SENSITIZATION IN GUINEA PIGS WHEN ADMINISTERED INTRADERMALLY. BOTH CN AND CS PRODUCE SKIN SENSITIZATION IN GUINEA PIGS WHEN ADMINISTERED INTRADERMALLY OR TOPICALLY.
