Abstract
AFTER A BRIEF SURVEY OF EARLIER METHODS OF SELECTION, THE AUTHORS GIVE AN ANALYSIS OF THE VARIOUS FACTORS THAT ARE OF IMPORTANCE IN THE SELECTION OF JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS. THE SECOND ARTICLE GIVES THE METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS AND RESULTS OF SYSTEMATIC COMPARISONS BETWEEN MALE AND FEMALE OFFICERS, OFFICERS AND THE POPULATION AT LARGE, AS WELL AS OFFICERS AND DELINQUENTS, BASED ON RORSCHACH TEST RESULTS. IN THE THIRD ARTICLE THE AUTHORS ANALYZE HOW THE SPECIAL PERSONALITY TRAITS, AS THEY SHOWED UP IN THE RORSCHACH TEST RESULTS, HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE CORRECTIONAL OFFICER'S DECISION WHEN HE FACES PROMOTION OR TRANSFER.
