Abstract
The manual presents background information on the issues and programs in each category and subcategory. The category called Preschool/Family Focus includes prenatal/infant programs, early childhood education, and parent training. The School Focus category includes programs on school development and management, instructional improvement training for teachers, and classroom curricula for the promotion of social competence. The Community Focus category covers community and school drug use policies, media mobilization, and volunteer mobilization. The Early Intervention Focus category includes parent training, family therapy, drug abuse, anti-crime programs, and AIDS/HIV. The listing for each agency, program, or service includes a symbol indicating its type; a summary of its history and services; and contact information, including its address, telephone number, and fax number.
