Following a description of the personnel and staff of the Commission, this report reviews progress on various law reform projects, consultation activities, and miscellaneous activities.
Abstract
The law reform projects reviewed cover the topics of bankruptcy, criminal law, damages from personal injuries and death, diligence, evidence, family law, corporeal moveables, the prescription and limitation of actions, private international law, succession, and statute law. Other matters considered include breach of confidence, irritancies in leases, the Married Women's Policies of Assurance Act of 1880, powers of attorney, judicial factors, agricultural holdings, and actions of ejection and removings. Consultation activities are discussed with reference to other law reform organizations and professions as well as seminars. The appendixes include a list of the membership of working parties; titles of the Commission's published and unpublished reports, papers, and memoranda; and the titles of statutory provisions relating to the Commission's proposals as of September 15, 1981.
