This publication by the US Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is the annual report on the OVC Fiscal Year 2024 Crime Victims Tribal Set-Aside Program.

Abstract

This report by the US Department of Justice’s Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) provides a comprehensive review of Tribal Set-Aside funds obligated in Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. It addresses enhancements to the Tribal Set-Aside based on Tribal leaders’ recommendations and testimonies from OVC’s annual government-to-government consultations with them. In October 2024, OVC will again consult with Tribal leaders about the funding and administration of the Tribal Set-Aside Program. The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has a long-standing commitment to improve services for victims of crime in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. A 1988 amendment to the Victims of Crime Act of 1984 (VOCA) created OVC as part of the Department’s Office of Justice Programs.
