These guidelines are intended to help accredited law enforcement agencies maintain their accredited status and to guide them through the reaccreditation process that must be completed every 5 years.
Abstract
Individual chapters explain the basic responsibilities of the agency after accreditation, the reaccreditation process, the ongoing responsibilities of accreditation managers, and the steps involved in the reaccreditation process. The preparation for the onsite assessment involved in the reaccreditation process and the steps involved in this assessment are also detailed. Appendixes presenting forms, sample formats for agency annual reports, a list of reports and other documentation to be prepared in conformance with standards, an agency profile questionnaire, and related materials are included.
