This collection of scholarly works analyzes how the United States and Canadian police agencies are addressing today’s unprecedented challenges which include: protecting against terrorist attacks, preserving civil liberties, preventing school shootings, adapting to new information technologies, deterring domestic violence, employing more female and minority officers, and policing Internet-based crimes.
