Abstract
EXPLORING LAW ENFORCEMENT FROM ROUTINE PATROL TO TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP, IT SHOWS HOW PSYCHOLOGY CAN BE APPLIED TO COMMUNICATIONS, COMMUNITY RELATIONS, FAMILY CRISIS MANAGEMENT, RECOGNITION AND MANAGEMENT OF BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS, SELECTION, ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY, AND OPERATIONS ANALYSIS. FEATURED ARE AN OVERVIEW OF BASIC PSYCHOLOGY, DIRECT APPLICATIONS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES TO POLICE WORK, AND A SERIES OF CASE STUDIES FOR EACH OF THE SUBJECT AREAS, CLARIFYING THE MATERIAL AND DEMONSTRATING REAL-LIFE SITUATIONS.
