Abstract
In this study we compare the M.M.P.I scores of police officers in Chicago and California. The results of this analysis prove that there is no real correlation between performance ratings and M.M.P.I. scores due to the variance between police agencies in American metropolitan areas over the suitable M.M.P.I. score for a police officer.
