Abstract
THE RIGHT OF PRIVACY IS CONSIDERED ON A PHYSICAL AND PROPERTY BASIS AS WELL AS A PERSONAL LIBERTY BASIS. TOPICS DISCUSSED INCLUDE PUBLIC INTEREST, APPROPRIATION OF NAMES OR PICTURES, SEARCH AND SEIZURES, PRIVILEGED COMMUNICATIONS, TRADE SECRETS, ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE, DATA BANKS, CREDIT REPORTING, BANK SECRECY, AND PERSONAL PRIVACY. MANY OF THESE ISSUES ARE DEALT WITH IN THE CONTEXT OF CASES DETERMINED BY THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT AND FEDERAL LEGISLATION SUCH AS THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT OF 1971 AND THE PRIVACY ACT OF 1974.
