THE AUTHOR CONTENDS THAT WHERE FACTUAL TESTIMONY IS CAPABLE OF BEING PUT INTO PRECISE RECORDED FORM, IT IS OF MAXIMUM EFFECTIVENESS IF IT CAN BE PUT BEFORE THE JURY MEMBERS IN THE FORM OF A COPY OF AN EXHIBIT.
Abstract
THE PROBLEMS WHICH A JURY MAY FACE IN RECALLING DETAILED FACTUAL INFORMATION FROM SUCH SOURCES AS THE SCENE OF CRIME OFFICER, POLICE SURGEONS, HOSPITAL DOCTORS, PATHOLOGISTS, AND FORENSIC SCIENTISTS ARE OUTLINED. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT TRANSCRIPTS OF THIS TYPE OF TESTIMONY OR WRITTEN EXHIBITS IN WHICH THE TEXTIMONY IS PRESENTED BE USED DURING THE TRIAL TO ASSIST JURORS IN UNDERSTANDING AND RECALLING TECHNICAL INFORMATION.
