Abstract
RESULT OF A 'STATE-OF-THE-ART' INVESTIGATION WHICH ANALYZED EXISTING PRACTICES, A MAJOR ASPECT OF THE REPORT WAS TO IDENTIFY THOSE AREAS APPROPRIATE FOR FUTURE RESEARCH. THE DATA COLLECTED BY THIS PROJECT ON WORKLOAD FACTORS, TIME FACTORS, AND VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS, CAN BE USED IN ANY FOLLOW-UP RESEARCH ON THE POLICE INVESTIGATIVE PROCESS.
