A DESCRIPTION OF SOME INTELLIGENCE GATHERING ORGANIZATIONS AND PRACTICES THAT THEY USE.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR STATES THAT IF THE POLICEMAN'S FIGHT AGAINST CRIME WERE COMPARED TO A FOOTBALL GAME, THE POLICE WOULD WEAR BLINDFOLDS, HOP ON ONE FOOT, AND SAY 'MAY I' BEFORE EACH TACKLE. TO OVERCOME THESE HANDICAPS, THE POLICE HAVE RELIED ON INTELLIGENCE GATHERING. THE ROLE OF POLICE INTELLIGENCE IN ORGANIZED CRIME COMBAT IS DISCUSSED.
