Abstract
TRADITIONAL INDICATORS OF BUREAUCRATIZATION ARE COMPARED WITH THE PRESENCE OF BUREAUCRATIC FACTORS IN THE SEATTLE POLICE DEPARTMENT. THE SURVEY QUESTIONED POLICE SUPERVISORS ON THEIR PERCEPTIONS OF THEIR ROLES, AND EXAMINED THE RESULTS AS THEY EFFECT ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS.
