This handbook provides a comprehensive listing of available services to crime victims in the State of Pennsylvania.
Abstract
The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Office of Victims’ Services produced this victims’ handbook, as a referral resource to make available the most up-to-date information on a broad range of available services to crime victims throughout the State of Pennsylvania. The handbook is divided into four sections with the first section providing a list, alphabetically within each county, of both system-based and community-based victim/witness and victim service programs and other nonprofit victim assistance organizations. The second section offers phone numbers of other victim assistance agencies within the State. The third section continues with a listing of both victim services and victim compensation programs in Pennsylvania and neighboring States, such as Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia. The handbook concludes with a final section providing free hotline numbers for nationally based victim assistance and criminal justice programs.
