Abstract
This newsletter from the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) contains an article highlighting efforts to increase awareness of and access to victims of domestic violence in Spanish-speaking migrant communities in the United States. The article presents information on the work of the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence (FCADV). The FCADV developed and distributed a series of fotoNovelas in Spanish-speaking migrant communities in 20 Florida counties. These fotoNovelas are a comic book style of publication that describe domestic violence and include information on victim services that are available to victims of domestic violence. These services include toll-free domestic violence and legal hotline services, shelter services, victim advocacy, and legal assistance from domestic violence centers in their communities. The newsletter also includes a Victims' Voices column, information about the National Crime Victims' Rights Week in April 2011, information about OVC's Vision 21 Initiative, information about the 12th National Indian Nations Conference, and a list of upcoming events and available publications.
