Abstract
After reporting some Texas juvenile delinquency statistics, the author narrates his visit to Harris County where he met the local juvenile judge. Several cases in the juvenile court are described, and the overall juvenile offending scenario in the locale outlined. The author and his judge host also visited the Harris County Youth Village, one of the nation's top education programs for delinquent youths. He attended the inaugural meeting of the Houston Juvenile Law Clinic which offers pro bono services to juveniles and was able to end his visit on an optimistic note.
