THE MINISTRY OF THE SOLICITOR GENERAL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR POLICING, PROVIDING FIRE PROTECTION, ENFORCING FIRE SAFETY LAWS, OVERSEEING INVESTIGATIONS OF UNATTENDED DEATHS, MONITORING THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE HUMAN TISSUE GIFT ACT OF 1971, AND ENFORCING THE ONTARIO SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY OF ANIMALS ACT OF 1965. AN ORGANIZATIONAL CHART SHOWS THE RELATIONSHIP AMONG THESE VARIOUS DIVISIONS.
