Abstract
Feature articles focus on a new curriculum developed by OJJDP to combat hate crimes and identity-based bullying by youth and a school-based program intended to reduce youth violence in the neighborhood surrounding a Southwest Philadelphia high school. Another article highlights Administrator Liz Ryan's remarks at the 45th Juvenile Justice Symposium in Biloxi, MS. Additional stories focus on an initiative providing South Dakota youth an opportunity to paint murals in public spaces, the role Tribal Youth Resource Center Young Leaders played in a recent gathering supported by OJJDP’s Tribal Youth Program, and remarks made by Administrator Ryan during the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC.
