This issue of OJJDP News @ a Glance covers recent developments related to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s mission to support local and state efforts to prevent delinquency and improve juvenile justice systems. Topics covered include the 41st Annual National Missing Children’s Day; a program in Oregon at Jackson Street Services to help young people transition from foster care to independence; a panel discussion on “Encouraging Youth as Leaders of Change in Violence Reduction,” a facilitated by Administrator Liz Ryan on April 3, 2024, in Chicago, IL, during the National Community Violence Intervention Conference, an annual meeting for Office of Justice Programs grantees; the importance of providing quick, coordinated responses when children go missing; and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls Day on May 5 the disproportionate number of missing children who are Native Americans.
