Abstract
GUIDELINES FOR APPEARANCE AND BEHAVIOR COVER PHYSICAL APPEARANCE, LANGUAGE AND SLANG, THE IMPRESSION GIVEN, AND THE MANNER OF PRESENTING TESTIMONY. IN GIVING TESTIMONY THE OFFICER SHOULD SIMPLY TELL WHAT HE SAW OR FOUND OUT. ELEMENTS OF PRESENTING FACTS AND CONDUCT UNDER CROSSEXAMINATION ARE EXPLAINED. SPECIAL PROBLEMS OF HEARINGS BEFORE A JUSTICE OF PEACE ARE GIVEN. FIFTEEN EASY WAYS FOR A POLICE OFFICER TO LOSE HIS CASE IN COURT ARE LISTED.
