Abstract
Occult crime is growing, and officers need to know how to handle it. This book focuses on Satanic groups, which account for the bulk of occult criminality. Satanic beliefs, symbols, and rituals are explained, and the various criminal and noncriminal Satanic groups are highlighted. The emphasis is on facts and field-proven procedures rather than theories. The author reminds the law enforcement officer that occultists have the same first amendment rights as do people who practice more mainstream religions; they are not criminals until they commit a crime. While animal sacrifices are common, human sacrifices are rare but do occur. A key to resolving occult crimes is to understand how Satanists--both criminal and noncriminal--think.
