THIS ORGANIZATION AND MANPOWER STUDY WAS PERFORMED FOR THE NORTH LITTLE ROCK (AR) POLICE DEPARTMENT, WHOSE 125 PERSONNEL (114 SWORN) SERVE 60,040 PERSONS - THE REPORT IS DATED AUGUST 17, 1973.
Abstract
THE REPORT DISCLOSES THAT RECORD-KEEPING INADEQUACIES AND INCONSISTENCIES PRECLUDE AN APPRAISAL OF JUST HOW BUSY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS. IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT NORTH LITTLE ROCK HAS MORE POLICE PER CAPITA AND SPENDS MORE ON POLICE PER CAPITA THAN OTHER COMPARABLE CITIES, THE CONSULTANT MADE SWEEPING RECOMMENDATIONS, AMONG WHICH WAS THAT A COMPREHENSIVE POLICE MANAGEMENT SURVEY BE CONDUCTED.
