This document contains the frequency codebooks for adult and youth data from the NISMART-2 (Second National Incidence of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Thrownaway Children) Household Survey.
Abstract
The first frequency codebook is for data obtained from adult respondents in screening and primary interviews, followed by a frequency codebook for data obtained from adults regarding a family abduction of a child in the household. Other frequency codebooks for information obtained from adult respondents pertain to incidents of runaway/thrownaway children, nonfamily abductions of children in the household, missing children in general, and variables derived from interviews with adults. One frequency codebook for data obtained from youth respondents relates to responses in the screening and primary interviews. This codebook is followed with frequency codebooks for data obtained from youth on the following types of incidents they may have experienced: family abduction, incidents of running away or being "thrownaway," incidents of nonfamily abduction, general missing incidents, and variables derived from youths' responses.
