This plan states the philosophy, goals, structure, and programs for the New Zealand Department of Justice for 1989-90.
Abstract
In the coming year the Department will place emphasis on advising the Minister of Justice on current social policy issues, improving responsiveness to all cultures, seeking more opportunities for public involvement in improving services, improving management information systems, and providing equal employment opportunities. Its programs will operate in the areas of corrections, public records, courts and tribunals, policy analysis and development, and planning and personnel development at the central office. Mission statements, goals, objectives, client demand, performance indicators and standards, and funding tables for each organizational unit.
