Abstract
A standard text format is used to profile each county through presentation of demographic, socioeconomic and criminal justice data. Frequency, percent, rate, and rank score statistics are presented on crimes, arrests, indictments, convictions, jails, prisons, probation, and parole. Maps provide visual displays of counties. Appendix A contains technical notes on data sources; appendixes B and C identify juvenile offender crimes and violent felony offenses; and appendix D includes profiles of criminal justice agencies that contributed data to the document. Appendix E describes criminal justice local assistance programs and their funding criteria. Glossary.
