This report presents statistical data on criminal offenses that occurred in New South Wales, Australia, between 1989 and 1991. The data were obtained from the New South Wales Police Service Crime Information and Intelligence System.
Abstract
This overview of major trends in reported offenses during this 3-year period includes figures showing trends in selected offenses as well as an analysis indicating which trends are statistically significant. Another section presents monthly trends for selected major offense categories. The third section consists of figures on cleared offenses in each classification for the 3 years in the reporting period. Cleared offenses are listed as those crimes that occurred in the same year and those committed in previous years. Seventeen tables, one for each major offense category, comprise the fourth section. The final section tabulates the crime statistics by the 27 specific regions of New South Wales. 20 figures, 50 tables and 3 appendixes
