The report presents data on parolees' earnings compiled from information submitted by nine district parole offices in New Jersey during 1980.
Abstract
The 11,521 parolees under supervision in the State earned over $29 million, an increase of over $3 million from 1979. A total of 52 percent of the parolees were classified as employed, 26 percent were unemployed, and 22 percent were unemployable due to being in school, in custody, or for other reasons. Tables illustrate parolee employment status for each of the nine districts, average parolee earnings by institution from 1976-80, and average earnings by parole district office from 1977-80, as well as average earnings only for those parolees under supervision for the entire calendar year. For parolee earnings reports covering other years, see NCJ 86291-92 and 86294.
